Bart for Model Number wa56h9000ap/a2

Hi Samsung certified repairman was here and called Samsung to diagnose "Random, never ending cycles". It would fill, drain, fill, wash a little etc. But it would not finish a cycle. I had to manually switch to rinse and spin to force a cycle to complete. It was overfilling too. However, it would occasionally act normally. They determined it was a main board and replaced it. Same thing is happening. Replaced water level sensor. Same issue. I not the water level is very high on all cycles. Do you have any suggestions?

Bart, as the main control and the pressure switch have been replaced, it would be recommended that the pressure hose is inspected where it plugs at the bottom of the tub. If there is a partial restriction or debris that gets caught and prevents the pressure switch from registering properly. This can cause the washer to have overfilling situations and not complete a cycle.

Juan, If the unit is humming but is not filling with water then you would want to check to see if the valves are clogged if they are not and the water is turned on then this would be a faulty valve.

Hello Mike your washer model came with a technical test sheet usually located just under the top of behind the front lower cover. You need to run the diagnostic test to check if the control board has a fault code in its memory. The test access is fairly simple, with the control panel off ,door closed, tub empty press 3 different keypads in a row 3 times. 123-123-123 the test will bring up the first of 4 possible fault codes, press the third key you used again to bring up the next code,If no fault codes then the display will show 88, in that case press the 2nd keypad to run the auto test routine.

Hello John. The pump driver fails to activate/One of the main relays is not working properly/ A communication error between the Central Control Unit (CCU) and the EEPROM onboard the CCU occurred. - Check for loose power outlet. A loose power plug in the wall can create line noise and issues. - Check if washer is on a dedicated circuit. Other devices on same circuit can create line noise and cause this issue. - Unplug washer or disconnect power. - Make sure that wire harness connections from the CCU are not broken or with wires detached, and that connector internal pins are visible. - Make sure all green wires (ground harness system) are not broken or detached. - Make sure the two ground switches are pressed correctly by the toe and rear panels. - Make sure all connectors are fully seated. - Plug in washer or reconnect power. - Check for power going to Central Control Unit (CCU) by listening for a click in the CCU when unit is plugged in washer or when reconnecting power. - Verify unit operation by performing the Diagnostic Test. See page 5. - After the diagnostic test has finished, unplug washer or disconnect power and wait for 15 seconds.

When washing a load of clothes and the washer gets done with wash and kicks off. I can turn it to rinse and spin and it starts up and rinses and kicks off again before spinning. I can take some clothes out (soaking wet) and lightening the load and then turn the machine to drain and spin and it will then drain and spin the water out. I have to repeat this last operation three times to basically spin 1 load of clothes. It does not want to do it with a large load. I have removed pump screen to make sure it is not plugged. I have also unplugged the machine electrically to allow it to reset the panel. The only way the machine works correct from start to finish is if I start with a very small load (like 3 or4 small pieces of clothing). I get no error codes on the panel. What is wrong or what do I need to look at next. I rebuilt the tub seal and bearing assembly about 2 years ago and really have not had any problems. Thx Greg W

Greg, The most likely cause for the issue with the unit shutting off with a full load but working on a small load would be that the unit has a weak motor. Would recommend the motor to be replaced.

JD, If there was power to the unit before replacing the outer tub then you will want to double check to make sure that all of the wiring connections have been made. This is the most common reason for the unit to not operate after a repair.

Hello Lance, This is going to be a bad coil on the board where the sound is emanating from. With no model number I cannot look at the configuration but if you can determine the origin of the sound, that part will need to be replaced. As a note, if this is coming from the noise filter, you should verify the power supply since improper power supply to the board is a primary cause of this issue. Since you have replaced this already, there is the possibility of a bad new part.

Frustrated Moe for Model Number Maytag Epic Z MHWZ600TW01

I can build racing engines but apparently, I am not capable of fixing a Maytag Washer. Here is what happened so far: The washer stopped working properly and had an F31 Error Code. I called a Sears technician who diagnosed: F31 Error/Locked/Not spinning correctly. Status: Needs Motor Board. He wanted $500 to replace that part but tried to push me into buying a new washer and even offered me a 10% coupon. I declined his offer. In the mean time, I ordered a Motor Control Board (different source), replaced it but other than that the F31 Code disappeared, the washer is still not working and had a F26 Error (door Switch). Then I found your AWESOME website and found cool diagrams and ordered parts. I ordered and replaced the door latch and the upper control unit (AP5787744). NOTHING has changed :/ Today's situation: 1.) Door locks but only unlocks by manually pulling the latch 2.) I can dial in any wash program and start it. The detergent mechanism moves, the water fills up, Drum DOES NOT SPIN, the water drains out, the timer will count down to like 3 mins. and then all the controls are blocked until I pull the power and plug it back in. 3.) When ever I hit Stop/Cancel at anytime, the controls block until I dis/reconnect the power cord. 4.) I can get/read error codes but I can not start the self diagnose test. If I try, it goes into Test mode but freezes (or am I supposed to patiently wait while it does not appear to do anything?) I checked the belt and the motor, the whole assembly turns smooth (pulley/belt/drum) when turned by hand. Maybe one of the parts I ordered was defective? I am out of ideas and would appreciate your input VERY MUCH :) Regards, Moe

1 Answer

Hello Moe. It sounds like either the wiring is bad or the main board is bad. You need to check continuity on the harness and all the wiring connections on the harness. If good, replace the CCU WPW10525358 on the unit.

Michael St George for Model Number WFW9050XW00

Washer has been working through all cycles, but it seems to buzz at times. I haven't checked during exactly what cycles it buzzes though. I assumed it was the draining part because it comes and goes. I live in the country and get my water from a well and had sediment earlier this year with my drinking water and never thought about the washer... I took one of the hoses off and a little chuck of sediment fell out. Im going to check to see if any thing is in the drain pump and if there is a screen or filter. Is there any thing else I should check out? Thank you

1 Answer

Michael, There is a filter that is on the front of the drain pump that you will want to make sure that there is nothing clogged in it. If there is something clogged it could cause this issue but you will also want to check the drain impeller to make sure that it is not damaged.
