This is a replacement mounting screw used to secure a solenoid valve or solenoid assembly in appliances. It provides a durable fastening point so the solenoid stays properly positioned and functions reliably. What it does:

Replaced the Idler Pulley, which I think was the problem, but also replaced the bearing the tub rotates on and the belt while I was going to have the dryer apart anyway (and I used the high Temp Lubricant on the bearing.) The dryer timer power resistor regulates electrical current to the timer motor in mechanical timer systems. Replace when the timer fails to advance properly, gets stuck in cycles, or the dryer runs continuously without stopping.
