Our refrigerator takes care of my wife and I, along with our children when they visit, and the grand kids. Over the years, it's seen its fair share of wear and tear. Thankfully, nothing major has happened that hasn't been able to be repaired right here in the home, and by me. Our refrigerator is a GE side-by-side with an ice maker/water dispenser, and has held up well. I've ordered parts for it from AppliancePartsPros.com for all of its repairs, and while GE/Frigidaire have been changing out a... Read more

This white ice dispenser paddle is the lever you press on the freezer door to release ice. Replacing a worn or broken paddle restores reliable ice dispensing and a clean, like-new look at the dispenser.
After reading posts on the problem I concluded that the motor and solenoid was OK because I was getting water shooting out in the water line before the water entered the freezer door. At the bottom of the door there is a quick disconnect to check the water before it goes into the freezer door. So, I concentrated on looking at the mechanism that dispensed the water because I read a post that said that the water usually freezes right in the hose before it comes out of the dispenser. I used a... Read more
Replacement control knob for your refrigerator's deli or snack drawer temperature adjustment. Restores ability to set airflow when original is broken or missing.
There was no repair video for this fix so I had to figure it out myself. I removed all the shelves out of the refrigerator, then the light cover. Replaced everything and then put the knob pan chill on. Read more

Replaces the evaporator fan orifice housing that directs airflow in your refrigerator's freezer section. Needed when original is cracked or worn.
The problem was most likely the evaporator fan motor but it could have been a bad blade, loose parts or bad motor mounts. Hard to tell without taking everything apart and inspecting. Since fridge was 17 years old I decided to order the entire evaporator fan assembly as shown in the parts diagram including fan blade, motor brackets, motor, motor mounts, screws, etc. Getting to the assembly involved removing the ice maker unit plus the entire rear inside of the freezer section.
