- Flathead screwdriver

Step 1: Remove the control panel
- Remove the three top phillips screws located at the back of the control panel.
- Slide the control panel to the left to disengage the bottom locking tabs.
- Leave the control panel loose.
Step 2: Remove the top panel
- Open the dryer door and remove the two phillips screws on each side of the door.
- Close the door.
- Lift the top panel of the dryer and pull it out.
- Be cautious not to damage any wires or connections.
Step 3: Remove the front panel
- Use the quarter-inch nut driver to remove the two top screws on each side of the front panel.
- Tilt the front panel towards you and lift it off the bottom clips.
- Take care not to damage any wires connected to the front panel.
- Bend the cover tab and move the switch cover out of the way.
- Use needle-nose pliers to carefully pull apart the wiring harness connector plug.
- This will disconnect the wires from the terminals of the door switch.
- Place the front panel aside against the dryer.
Step 4: Replace the lint screen housing seal
- Unscrew the light bulb located inside the dryer.
- Use a flathead screwdriver to release and remove the top support bearing.
- Pop out the bottom support and duct assembly from the front panel.
- Take the duct assembly to a clean work surface.
- Remove the old lint screen housing seal from the assembly.
- Clean the surface of the assembly so it is free from any debris.
- Peel off the adhesive protective strip on the new lint screen housing seal.
- Install the new lint screen housing seal onto the duct assembly, aligning it properly.
Step 5: Reassemble the dryer
- Place the lint trap duct assembly onto the front panel, starting with the left side first.
- Make sure the edge of the assembly is over the lip of the door and snap it into place.
- Lock the switch cover back into position.
- Install the upper support bearing securely.
- Screw in the light bulb to its original location.
- Place the front panel on the left side of the dryer.
- Reconnect the wires to the terminals of the door switch.
- Place the switch cover back into position with the tab locked.
Step 6: Secure the front panel and top panel
- Align the bottom slots of the front panel with the tabs on the dryer cabinet.
- Insert the side tabs into the cutouts on the cabinet and lift the drum at the same time.
- Secure the front panel with the two quarter-inch screws.
- Align the tabs on the top panel with the slots on the cabinet frame.
- Slide the top panel into place.
- Open the dryer door and secure the top panel with the two phillips screws.
- Close the door.
Step 7: Reinstall the control panel
- Slide the control panel to the right to lock the bottom tabs.
- Secure the control panel with the three phillips screws.
Step 8: Test the dryer
- Plug the dryer back in and turn it on.
- Check if the dryer is drying properly.
