Safety precautions
- Always power off and unplug your appliance or switch off the circuit breaker before attempting any maintenance or replacement work. This keeps you safe by preventing any risk of injury from electric shock.
- Turn off the water supply at the outlet before beginning repairs to any appliance parts that hold water. Have towels ready for any residual water in the system when removing parts.
- Wear insulated work gloves to protect your hands from sharp metal parts, pinching hazards and debris.
- Don’t test wiring with a multimeter for live voltage if you’re unfamiliar with how to prevent short circuiting when testing.
- When working with wires, avoid touching any exposed wires or terminals. If you need to touch a wire, use a non-conductive tool or wear insulating gloves to prevent electrical shock.
- Take your time and don’t rush while working to prevent accidents and personal injuries.
- Work in a well-lit area so you can clearly see and access the interior parts.
- Clear your workspace of clutter and other obstacles. Keep children and pets away from the work area.
- Never work on internal parts with bare wet hands. Make sure the work area is completely dry.
- Check your user manual to see if there are specific installation or safety instructions for your part or appliance.
- Be gentle when handling or removing parts. Excessive force might damage the appliance or cause injury.
- Wear safety glasses when working with chemicals, dust or cleaning large debris to prevent injury.
- If the appliance has recently been used, give it plenty of time for any heating parts to cool down before working on it.
Replacement steps
Disassembly
- Open the dishwasher door and remove the lower dish rack by pulling it out.
- Pull out and remove the upper dish rack by pulling it all the way out and lifting it up to disengage the rollers on the side of the rails.
- Pull out the cutlery drawer and remove it from the rails. There should be a front release for the rollers that allows you to slide it out.
- Turn the filter counterclockwise to unlock it and then pull up both filters together.
- Grab the spray arm at the center and pull it up.
- Use a Torx 20 screwdriver to remove the two screws that are holding the base of the spray arm.
- Use a flat blade screwdriver to release the clips starting from the top, one on each side, and pull down.
- Pull out the water supply tube on the top and lift off the bottom cover from the center tube.
- Turn the assembly sideways to remove it completely.
- Place the assembly on a workable surface.
- Disconnect the spray arm water supply tube from the base plate by using a small flat blade screwdriver to pry up the little tab while simultaneously pushing out the water supply tube.
Installation

- Place the assembly diagonally over the opening and make sure it is in the right position.
- Push it back a little bit and pull the top to tilt it forward.
- Place the cover over the tube and push the part into its clips at the back to lock it in place.
- Repeat the same process for the tube top clips at the top of the assembly.
- Secure the cover to the sump with a couple of Torx 20 screws.
- Install the filters by dropping them down and turning them clockwise to lock them. The two arrows facing each other indicate that they are locked.
- Install the spray arm by dropping it down and pressing it down to lock it in place.
- Slide the cutlery drawer onto the upper rails, making sure it is on the second roller on both sides, and push it in.
- Install the upper dish rack by lifting it up, going over the end cap, and pushing it in.
