Gary W for Model Number WDF510PAYW8 Water will not heat above faucet temperature. No heat during drying cycle. I have checked resistance on heating coil. Shows good. Hi temp switch was disconnected but checked ok. Reconnected it. Shows good. Appliance repair guy told my wife the drain wasn't right. Unit run fine until about 6 months ago. Can't believe drain was the problem. Water that is in machine is just drops where it didn't dry. Could it need a new switch unit? Any help would be appreciated. Can this switch unit be returned if its not the problem?
Answer Gary, This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty control board which will be part number W10804121. You will want to put the unit into a heat cycle and check to see if there is 120 vac getting to the heater. If there is not then the control board will be the most likely cause. Read More...
