What does the control board do?

The main control board is the brain of the dishwasher. It controls the wash cycles, drying, sensors, user interface, and more. Over time, the components and connections on the board can degrade from normal wear and tear. This causes the control board to malfunction, which causes buttons to not respond when pressed and prevents cycles from starting. You might also see an error code on the display specifically pointing to a faulty control board.
