Bill W Atlanta , GA January 28, 2019 Appliance: Model MES301HP No light in the oven I unscrewed the glass cover on the left side of my MES301HP 24-inch steam and convection single built-in oven and stored the cover on top a soft kitchen cloth so it didn't break. I removed the broken halogen bulb from the oven by pulling it firmly out of the light socket. IMPORTANT Then I cut a hole in the plastic packaging the new bulb was shipped in so I could hold the bulb while it was still inside the plastic material so I didn't get any oils from my skin onto the bulb! Due to high temperatures, even a little oil from you skin can degrade the performance of the light bulb over time. With the bulb protected from my skin by the plastic, I pushed the bulb firmly into the light socket, pressing it until it felt securely in place in the socket. Then I screwed the glass cover back in to the oven unit and then pressed the On/Off button, and the light illuminated properly. Read More...
