NOTICE: If using this kit for Maytag MGBD400QV0 - Belt is not the right one. if possibly use your old one. Everything else worked fine. The chirp was undoubtedly caused by a frozen idler wheel. Had to work to get it off the shaft. Took a while to clean up the shaft but finally got the idler wheel on and it spun freely. Now the belt was a problem. I assumed the new belt was a correct replacement and after assembling everything the dryer would power up but not spin. After several hours looking for possible remedy I decided to check the thermal fuse (continuity ok), the thermistor (11k ohms ok), and the idler shaft micro switch (ok). It dawned on me that I might be putting the belt on wrong. But for the life of me I could not get the belt on right. Fortunately, I had not discarded the old belt so I compared the two. New belt was shorter (1-2") and not as wide. Once I tried the old belt, which appeared to be in excellent condition, I was able to easily install it. Problem solved and dryer runs like a top with no chirping.
