The stove has two of these 8 inch burner coils. I swapped the two to see if the problem moved along with the coils. It did not. I ordered the 8 inch infinite switch from your site and it came in really fast (normal shipping). I used the information of the parts diagram to open the back panel, take out the switch and put the new one in. The whole effort took 10 minutes. I tested the functioning of the control and confirmed it to be working.
To show the customer what was wrong with the old switch, I opened it for them and it was black inside. I explained the various components in the switch to them and pointed out the failing one.
