I called your 800 number and explained the problem. I mentioned that it was also making a clicking sound as the motor ran. Based on reviews I thought it was the clutch as your website says that is the problem most of the time. This is a commercial machine. However, in taking it apart the clutch it looked fine. So the tech I spoke with and myself thought maybe the gear box was bad. So I ordered both. When they arrived I began installing. When I took the motor off the gear box I noticed that the plastic coupler that was on the motor side was broken. THIS was the problem. This part was never even mentioned when speaking with the tech on the phone. Since the new gear box had what looked like the exact same part on its shaft I figured I could use it instead of ordering a new coupling part (3 pieces) and waiting several more days. I again called the 800 number to confirm this and the tech I spoke with really did not know. I mentioned that i spent $194 on parts when the problem was a $17 part (plus shipping). The tech said I could return the other parts if I wanted. So on my on own judgement I took off the plastic piece on the old gear box and put it on the motor side. I did use the new gear box and clutch plate because like I said this is a commercial machine and the person I was doing the work for said to just put the new parts in and be done with it. So I did and everything works fine.
