While I was cooking I started hearing an arcing sound and then started to see smoke coming from the switch panel. I continued cooking and monitoring the situation. Wanted to try to figure out exactly what was going on. Burner function was normal. After 5 minutes of arcing sounds and small amounts of smoke coming from panel, I discontinued use of burner. It did turn off normally. On removal and inspection of switch, I found a scorch mark where the main contact is. Ordered and replaced switch. All current operation back to normal.
