Very hot in Pacific Northwest. Icemaker decided to stop working. Question was if it was time for new Icemaker or new fridge.
In the end, the $115 gamble seemed worth it especially with the video available online in conjunction with a complete icemaker assembly.
Well, as shown in the video, took 15 minutes to replace with only a single socket wrench and a flat blade screwdriver. Hardest part was just getting the wire harness cover back on.
1 hour later, the first cubes dropped out and next day, the icemaker bucket was full.
Gamble really paid off and no new fridge probably for several more years.
