Our ice maker had a wire/cable hanging down when I pulled out the ice drawer. Plus our ice was more like blocks than cubes. Turned out there where 2 problems. First the cube tray was cracked which allowed water to drip down creating ice blocks. Second, the sensor had broken free was hanging down instead of attached to the bottom of the tray. Replacing it was pretty simple. Removed 3 screws and disconnected 2 electrical connections and the tray module was free. Reverse the process and now the ice is falling as neat little cubes in controled amounts. Ah, back to civilization.
