The replacement spring I ordered from AppliancePartsPros.com arrived quickly. I watched the video that was on the web page and got to work. After removing the kick plate, I determined that I had plenty of room to work and did not need to move the dishwasher out from under the counter top. It took less than 5 minutes start to finish. I removed the kick plate, installed the spring by hand, tested the "action" of the door a couple of times to ensure the spring was placed for proper tension and replaced the kick plate. The door opens and closes like it did when it was new.
