Took two screws off of the top of my dryer (1986 stackable Maytags). Took the front off the hinges and squeezed the latch with a needle nose pliers to get it out of the hole. Popped in the new latch. Same with the door. Took out two screw on the side of the door and one on the inside by the handle. Popped it out the same way and popped in the new one. Put the screws back in the door, put the front of the dryer back on the hinges and screwed the two screws back in the top of the dryer. That's it! I was amazed at how simple the repair was. Total cost, $10.50 for the part with shipping and some patience.
