Took the dryer apart after watching a few youtube videos. I wasn't sure if it was the element or the control board, so I went ahead and ordered the element and starting to take things apart. Once I got the element out and could see it... I knew it was the element--didn't need to even check the control board. Took me about 2 hours. The one screw in the back took me 45 minutes alone... lol. It's a tricky one! Easier if you just remove the entire drum than working around it. All in all, it wasn't too bad. It hurt paying nearly $150 for the OEM part vs. $35 knock offs ... hoping this OEM will last at least 5 years. The OG lasted 10 years.
