The symptom I was getting was a very load noise when the dryer was running--but it did not sound like a bad bearing or bad motor. After doing some research I troubleshot the dryer by running it for an hour on the "fluff" setting (no heat)--the noise did not occur. The research I did suggest it was the blower. Upon disassembly--I found the blower fan was broken and had completely come apart. The repair would have been straight forward but because it had seperated from the screw mount, I had to pull the motor out and using two pair of vice grips on the motor shaft (rmember this is a reverse thread situation so you must go right to loosen) to remove the old blower mount. Once that was off it was a very quick install of the new blower housing assembly and reassembly of the dryer. Dryer is quiet and drying like a charm now!
