How to replace Washer Motor And Inverter Board Assembly. Lots of grinding and having to reset the motor. Saw metal shavings under the mode shifter and decided to replace. Wasn't a terrible job other than the drum nut which I couldn't beat free and ultimately cut off with a side grinder. New mode shifter fixed the grinding but the spin cycle was still acting up. Thought maybe the A/C power filter was the problem so I replaced - nope. Finally I spied the 6 blink code on the inverter so decided to replace the motor - easy job. Tested the machine and was wowed! When that baby went into high speed spin I thought it was going to take off, lol. Bottom line it's basically a new washer except for the control board. Chip shortages and lack of available machines pushed me into going this route. Glad I did. Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 2+ hours
