I took some part numbers from the underneath side of the burner along with the stove model number and entered them on the internet and luckily found the part that I was looking for - I purchased it and it was delivered very quickly (faster than I expected). I took pictures of the burner before taking it apart and then removed the broken burner and replaced it with the new burner, put all the other parts back together and it worked perfectly the first time I turned it on. I feel like a real pro now. I also called a reair shop to find out what the charge would be to reapir my glass top stove - the response was $125 service call (Even if they could not get parts to repair it) + the costs of the Parts and I also requested to cost of the parts and was given a price range that took the price to 2 1/2 times what I paid even with shipping. I am a great saver of money too it seems. Good luck on your next home repair.
