Tom S Dade City , FL March 01, 2019 Ice door stayed open FREEZER FROSTED AND ICED UP NEAR ICE DISPENSER. Ordered parts, viewed videos and installed parts - easy (the hardest part was before I started, just needed to say 'I can do this' - the rest was easy). All that was wrong was the rubber part of ice dispenser door flap which was so warped or distorted that it could not function properly (it would not seal and finally stayed open). We suffered with this for a couple years, not knowing how easy it was to fix. Just a hint – open freezer door and look out through ice shoot; if you see any light around ice dispensing flapper door - replace it. We ordered some parts that were not needed but replaced them anyway, to perhaps not need revisit this. We used putty knife, phillips screw driver and needle nose pliers. The repair was completed from outside so did not need to empty freezer. Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes
