Verified that the refrigeration system was working...by feeling coolness on the ice plate, and heat in the heat-exchange tubes. Found that the ice making cycle was often very short. Tested by adding water to the vat in the ice making cycle--and it made ice! Measured the amount of water that was left at the end of the ice making cycle in the vat. Then measured how much water was draining from the ice maker during an ice-making cycle. It was losing almost half it's water during the ice making cycle. Guessed it was the drain valve. Disassembled it. Cleaned it. And performance improved, but was still leaking water during a drain cycle. Ordered and installed a new one. And now it's good as new.
