Description

This OEM part is a red cable for generator batteries. The red cable is compatible with the positive charge side of the battery and is attached to the battery through a metal clamp that is tightened over the positive terminal. This allows the battery to remain charged. If the generator is no longer turning on, the red cable might need to be replaced. Luckily, replacing the red cable is a very easy job.Before beginning, make sure that all power is off to the generator. Then, remove the red cable clamp from the battery terminal by unthreading the bolt that holds it tight. Once loosened, remove the clamp from the terminal connector and release the top half of the cable. Gently pull on the cable to release the other side. Once removed, replace with the new cable and restore power to the generator. This genuine replacement part is sold individually and is compatible with Generac brand generators.
