Charles January 07, 2021 for Model Number B36CL80ENS Hi, I am going to purchase a Bosch refrigerator B36CL80ENS that comes with water dispenser and ice maker. However, I will not use the water dispensing and ice making functions at all from the very beginning. Will it cause any issues to the refrigerator if I install it without connecting it to a water line?
1 Answer Charles, not installing a water line service will not stop the appliance from working properly. Once the appliance is installed, it would be recommended that the ice maker is turned off so that the water valve is not damaged. This can be done by lifting the ice maker flap and making sure the ice maker light is not on. If it is, there will be a power button on the front of the ice maker that can be pressed to turn it off. John Siebert May 11, 2020 for Model Number B22C530NS-02 The ice maker in my refrigerator is not making ice. I tried everything listed in the appliance book. Cleaned the ice holder, turned off the refrigerator for 2 minutes, depressed the on/off switch for 15 seconds. It appears the ice maker itself is not making ice
1 Answer John, If the icemaker is getting water but not dumping ice then this would be an issue with the icemaker. If there is no water to the icemaker then test the water valve to see if it is getting power when the icemaker calls for water. If there is power then this will be a faulty water valve and if there no power then the icemaker would be the issue. Read More...
Keep My Fridge February 12, 2019 for Model Number B22CS30SNS/01 I bought an inverter for this fridge from you a few months back. The rep representative was great. The ice maker is slowly leaking water from behind and causing the tray to move forward ultimately stopping the ice maker service from the door front. I've manually chipped away at the build up a couple of times and restored. But the leak continues...do you think this is the ice maker itself or the valve?
1 Answer Keep My Fridge, This issue would most likely be caused by a water valve that may no be closing off fully and has frozen the fill cup on the icemaker then running over. Read More...
Rick January 08, 2019 for Model Number B22CS30SNS Hi, the water dispenser works, and the 2 motor arms at the back of the freezer turn (if I depress the 'close door' button), but the auger itself seems frozen and won't turn, even by hand, when the ice container is removed from the freezer compartment. Also, the metal blade attached to the auger that appears to push the ice into the grinder/dispenser has snapped off in 2 pieces. Is the auger assembly the correct part to order? If so, what is it's part number? Thanks, Rick
1 Answer Rick, the part you will want is going to be the entire bin assembly 00673127. This is the only part on the parts diagram that allows to complete this repair as they do not have each individual piece available in the manufacturers parts diagram listing. Read More...
Brad W December 30, 2018 for Model Number B22CS30SNS/01 Bosch is making intermittent whining. I first cleaned compressor section. Then replaced condenser fan, and freezer evaporator fan.....still intermittent whining.....what's next?
1 Answer Brad, You will want to try to pin point where the noise is coming from. It could be a compressor that is whining, or a new control board. Read More...
Michael November 02, 2018 for Model Number B22CS30SNS/02 Does the ice maker assembly include the motor? Or does the motor need to be ordered separately?
1 Answer Michael, Yes the 00673989 / 00675261 Ice Maker Asmb. is the correct part to order for the model number you supplied. The ice maker assembly is a "complete" assembly and in- cludes the motor, wire harness and bail arm, all the parts needed to replace the existing ice maker. Thanks, Read More...
Roberto D March 04, 2018 for Model Number B22CS30SNSS The ice maker in my bosch refrigerator isn't working. The repair notes say it may be the dispenser control board Can I buy this board separately, or do I simply replace the entire ice maker (part AP4483635) ? Thanks
1 Answer Roberto, This issue will most likely be a issue with the icemaker on the unit and not the dispenser control board. Read More...
Jason November 03, 2016 Hi, Can you please let me know how to replace this ice maker? I loosened 2 screws on ice maker, but can't take the connector out from auger motor housing. Should I remove motor housing to disconnect the ice maker connector? I tried to remove housing, but it didn't move even though I removed 2 screws on housing. Please help me. Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Jason. If you loosen the screws and lift the icemaker off of them you will be able to see the harness. Depressing the tabs on the sides of the harness will allow you to pull the harness out. Read More...
Beth September 16, 2016 for Model Number B22CS30SNS/01 The icemaker suddenly stopped working. The filtered water still works. I unplugged the refrigerator, no change. It seems that the ice level sensor arm is stuck partially up. I can not put the arm down without forcing it, which I don't want to do.
1 Answer Hello Beth, You will have to replace the icemaker assembly 00673989 to correct this issue. Read More...
