Mike C November 16, 2019 for Model Number FFU7F9GW3 Freezer won't run unless I turn the temperature controller to the highest setting #9 and the compressor runs continuously and the freezer stays cold as it would normally. When I turn it down to a average setting #5, the next day the temp alarm comes on and thaws out but never comes back on. I've changed the defrost controller, and defrost temp sensor but still does the same thing. The only way to keep all frozen is to turn the temp control to max setting. Temp. controller 216521100 for is no longer available which I suspect might be the problem. Any suggestions? Thanks
1 Answer Mike, This issue does sound like it would be caused by the temperature control on the unit and with it being discontinued there would be no suitable replacement for it. Read More...

Ed March 16, 2012 for Model Number Part # 216521200 temperature controller How can a person check to see if this controller is bad?
1 Answer Hello Ed. You cannot completely check this part. You can see if the contacts make when the control is turned in one direction. You can check if the contacts open when the control is turned the other direction. The hard part is determining if it opens and closes at the proper temperature. Most of the time if this part fails, it will either stick and never open or the points will burn and when they close they will never make contact electrically. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Rodney March 10, 2012 for Model Number 2539280414 My freezer runs continuously no matter what setting we have it on. Can you please tell me what may cause this?
1 Answer Hello Rodney. As long as the door seal is seating properly all the way around the door, it is most likely the temperature control 216521200. I would inspect the bottom of the door seal with a mirror and insure this is in place and seated so it cannot lose any of your cold air. Cold air is heavy and will pour out while warmer air will go in to replace it. As long as it's holding temperature, this would be the prime suspect. Have a great day! Read More...

2 Answers Sam, is there a problem with the cooling of the freezer ? If not, check the door switch operation and the interior light for operation. You also need to listen or feel for the evaporator fan, make sure it is moving the air inside the freezer. I would suspect the control board 216695700 located in the compressor compartment, before the control control. Thanks and good luck Read More...
