Lawrence February 08, 2020 for Model Number ZE How do I replace the bake element on a GE monogram ZET1038SF1SS? It looks like I need to remove the door to get the bake element out or perhaps access it from the rear of the oven, w which means pulling out the oven from the wall. It pre-heats very slowly (30+ minutes to reach 350 deg) so I'm suspecting the bake element is going out.
1 Answer Lawrence, you will need to pull the oven out and remove the element from the back. The part number is WB44X10011 The element is made up of two parts, the inside element and outside element. To check the element, turn the power off to the unit, remove one wire from the internal and one wire from the outer element and check for resistance. The inner element should read 40 ohms, the outer element should read 93 ohms. If one or both of the readings are not within 10% plus or minus, replace the element. If they are correct, replace the relay board, part number WB02X10415 Read More...
Barbara November 22, 2015 for Model Number ZET857SYSS To replace the upper oven bake element in the ZET857SYSS, does the entire unit need to be removed from the wall? Are there any pictures available showing what the back of the unit looks like to give a better understanding of how exactly the bake element is replaced?
1 Answer Barbara, Yes you would need to remove the unit from installation in order to replace the bake element in the upper oven. The oven would have a panel on the back that would need to be removed which will expose the element terminals. Making sure that power is off to the unit, disconnect the terminals and remove the screw on the inside of the oven and remove the element. Make sure that when you disconnect the element terminals that you mark which one goes where or take a picture of the wiring. Read More...

Richard E January 21, 2014 for Model Number GE ZET 1058 I have to replace the hidden bake element in a GE ZET1058 double wall oven. Can this be done from the front or do I have to remove the oven from the wall? I don't want to start taking apart the front of the oven if I need to take it out of the wall anyway.
1 Answer Richard, In order to remove the bake element in your unit you will need to remove the unit from the installation. Once out you will take the lower cover off that is over the bake element to remove. Read More...
