Adrian October 18, 2018 for Model Number ZET857SB1SS I've ordered two replacement hinges but I thought I would inspect how I access the current hinges to remove and replace them. I didn't realize there was a mains power micro switch (WB24X10098) behind the plate I was removing and I shorted it. However, nothing seems to be broken so I'm wondering if the short didn't actually damage anything beyond blackening a bit of the mounting plate where it touched. What does the switch do? What should I expect to not work if I damaged the switch?
1 Answer Hello Adrian, The main power switch directs voltage to the circuit chosen by selecting the function desired. If the unit is still working, consider yourself lucky since this switch WB24X10011 is no longer available and no satisfactory replacement has been provided. As a note, any time service is to be performed on any appliance, for your safety always unplug the unit or turn off the breaker and verify no power is present before beginning service. Read More...

Michael January 10, 2017 for Model Number ZET857SYSS Both the top and bottom oven doors will no longer close completely. I'm guessing I need four new hinge assemblies. It appears this part is AP4501445. Should I have a professional do the job?

Mike January 02, 2017 for Model Number Zet837db1sb My oven has a model # ZET837DB1SB. I need a door hinge but there is no 1SB. Will the SB model work? Or the 2SB?
Lyonsden December 24, 2014 for Model Number ZET1058SF3SS The top oven door will not close snugly and heat escapes. Do I need to replace with 281 or something else? Also will I need to purchase 2 of these (will I need one for each side)?
1 Answer Hello Lyonsden, This can be caused by the door hinge WB10X10078, the hinge receiver WB10X10028, or the door liner WB55X10660 which can become bent from excessive weight applied to the door when opened. You can tell if the door liner is at fault by laying a straightedge from top to bottom on the door liner in the hinge area. If it does not lay flat, the door liner is bent. If it lays flat, the hinge or hinge receiver will be at fault. The hinges should always be replaced as a pair. Read More...
Rich December 20, 2014 for Model Number ZET857SB3SS Is there a sensor for the oven light? The light stays on when I close the door on the top unit.

Ed August 06, 2014 for Model Number ZET857SB1SS What is the correct part number for the hinges for both the upper and lower oven doors for GE Monogram Model ZET857SB1SS serial LA6178008? Also, what causes the hinge to not close the door completely? Is it the use of the self cleaning feature that causes the springs to lose their spring constant? Can just the springs be purchased and replaced or does the whole assembly need to be replaced? Thanks.
1 Answer Ed, For the reason the door does not close all the way due to the hinge would be an issue of the spring just giving out. The spring do not come separately and you would have to get the entire hinge. The part number for the hinge is WB10X10078 and is the same for all the hinges. Read More...
