Answer February 14, 2016 for Model Number WB13K5058 If The GE Ignitor Part is not available & not manufactured, what are the options to replace it without changing the cooktop?
1 Answer Answer, Unfortunately the manufacturer has discontinued the WB13K5058 and they're not available. We thought you may want to try and purchase the burner base, which would include the igniter, but, the majority of the burner assemblies are discontinued as well. Basically, The manufacturer no longer sells the part and we can no longer get it from any of our suppliers. There is no substitute for the part available to us and We don’t know of any other source for the part. But there are still options, contact local parts dealers, one of them might still have it in stock. Enter your part number in a search engine, a smaller company might have it, and try sites like E Bay, Amazon, etc. by using the manufacturers part number [WB13K5058] .Try a used appliance store, sometimes they have the same model or access to the part you need. R.S.Y. September 27, 2013 for Model Number ZGU660 Only 2 of my burners ignite when I turn them on. The other 3 don't ignite when turned on, but if I turn one of the first two on at the same time, that will ignite any of the other 3 burners if they are turned on.
1 Answer Hello R.S.Y., If the ignitors are not "clicking" when those that don't work are turned on, the issue will most likely be the start switches for those burners. If you would please re-post with your model number, we can look up the correct part numbers for your unit. If you would rather, you can call us at 1-877-477-7278 with your model number and one of our representatives will be happy to look the parts up for you. Read More...
Esther February 06, 2013 for Model Number zgu651em1wg Hi, my right front burner won't work. When I turn the nob to turn on the fire to cook, the burner doesn't click and it doesn't ignite. Should I just get an igniter? Also, I have been turning the nob at resting position of about 11:30 and not straight up at 12:00 position because the 12:00 position seems to cause the other burners to click. I hope you understand what I'm describing.
1 Answer Hello Esther, You will want to do a continuity test on the burner switches. Turn the gas off and access control knobs. With the burner turned on you should have continuity through the leads on the ignition switch. If not then replace ignition switch. If ignition switches check ok then check wiring and if it checks good then you can check the ignitor by doing a continuity test on the ignitor and check for the ignitor being cracked or broken. 1 Answer Ahab, Check and make sure the burner bases, burner caps, igniters and drip bowls are perfectly clean, no residue, no debris, and no spillage. Make sure the correct cap is on the correct burner base, If the problem persists suspect a weak spark module WB20X133. Thanks Read More...
