Nascenzio May 07, 2014 for Model Number AP4484301 I want to replace the Panel Overlay Assembly on my GE range. It looks like the assembly is held on with the 4 nuts under each of the burner control knobs and would be easy to replace. Is that right?
1 Answer Nascenzio, Yes, you're pretty much on target " Removing Faceplate 1. Turn the power off to the unit. 2. Remove all knobs. 3. Unscrew all faceplate retainers while holding the faceplate against the control trim. The retainers must only be hand-tightened. 4. Move the faceplate 3 inches away from the control panel and unplug the harness from the panel. 5. Repeat steps in reverse order to reassemble the unit." Read More...
