KAC, There is not a evaporator fan on this unit and this unit will be a manual defrost unit so if there is heavy ice build up then you will want to manually defrost the unit.

Keith, You will want to check to see if the compressor is running on the unit. If the compressor is running but the unit is not cooling then there will be a sealed system issue in which you will need a certified refrigerant technician to repair the unit. If the compressor is not running an you hear a clicking noise from the relay then the relay will most likely be the issue. The relay part number is WR7X264.

Jean for Model Number ZDB24A RBB

I installed the new thermostat. It is now cycling the compressor. But the temperature fluctuation is from about 50 down to 30. This is with the thermostat on about 1 on the 1-10 dial. What would be the reason it would let the temperature run all the way down to 30 before turning the compressor off? And all the way up to 50 before turning it back on? We have tried other number settings on the thermostat. But then it seems to run the compressor all the time. So we are afraid to touch it, since it is "sort of" working.

Jean, It sounds like either the thermostat needs to be adjusted or that the thermostat is faulty. There would be a adjustment on the thermostat which would allow to regulate from colder to warmer. Try making an adjustment and if that does not work then the thermostat is faulty and would need to be replaced.

Jean, The thermostat bulb will go into the back of the unit and will come up behind the evaporator in which you will need to lower the evaporator to access the part.
