For Lg Main Pcb Power Control Board Assembly (Part Number: OEM15214971)

Dale for Model Number DLGX3002

LG Gas Dryer DLGX3002 converted to LPG. In use 4 years. About 6 weeks ago found the resettable temp sensor popped. Reset it then replaced it a week later. A few weeks later dryer began to fire intermittently. Ignitor always heated up but intermittent starting. Found that gas valve had a flaky connection in coil on valve 1. Replaced gas valve. Dryer worked fine for a few weeks then began to fire intermittently. I then replaced flame sensor, hi-limit sensor and control board and it is still firing intermittently. Today after the new control board it started 12 times in a row, then worked fine for 3 loads of wash, then failed to start on load 4. When it fires the first time it always cycles on and off correctly re-firing as needed. The ignitor reads 156 ohms so I do not suspect a problem there. I ordered another gas valve just on the chance that the 1st one from APP is somehow defective but have not installed it yet because I think that is a real long shot. I have checked all the connections and they are tight. I have the service manual and I have been using the troubleshooting guide and the wiring diagram. Even though the parts I replaced were probably ok I have left the new ones in place for now. I am out of ideas. Someone with experience with LG gas dryers please give me any suggestions.

Dale, The first thing that you will want to check is the venting. Check from the blower wheel to the outside of the home to ensure that there is no issue with a restriction or blockage. This is a main cause for misfiring of the burner when there is not proper air flow.
