For Whirlpool Refrigerator Compressor (Part Number: OEM15967899)

Larry for Model Number et18zkxznoo

I have a whirlpool made in 1992 in perfect condition a retro fridge that has been pampered like new. so it stopped working the light is on but no cool no compressor or fan blowing, so I looked for the start capacitor overload relay and compressor parts are not available. so any aftermarket compressor and overload capacitor and start relay repairman won't even come so thought I would troubleshoot it, Thanks any advice and help would be nice. et18zkxznoo whirlpool 1992

Larry, as the compressor and the fans are not blowing, the failure is either going to be the thermostat 1123394 or the defrost timer WP2183400. With the power cord unplugged, the thermostat can be tested for continuity when in the on position. If there is continuity, the defrost timer has failed. If there is not continuity, the thermostat has failed.

Hello Ed. The two extra lines are for an oil cooler and are not used on your model. You will leave the rubber plugs on them and just install the correct lines. DO NOT remove the rubber covers on the oil lines on the compressor W10439652.
