1 Answer Larry, as the compressor and the fans are not blowing, the failure is either going to be the thermostat 1123394 or the defrost timer WP2183400. With the power cord unplugged, the thermostat can be tested for continuity when in the on position. If there is continuity, the defrost timer has failed. Johnny November 16, 2015 I have a compressor that is >30 years old. In the summer, I am able to start it occasionally but in the winter, I cannot start it at all. Do you have any ideas what might be the cause and whether it is fixable? Are there any parts that need to be repaired? Do I need to refill the oil? Where do I refill it?
