1 Answer Hello Tanzer729. Runaway Cook Upper Oven. Check the sensor 1050-1100 ohms, wiring, control. Every 6 seconds that the control sees the latch unlocked. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. David October 26, 2013 for Model Number mer6770 Im getting an error code F1-8 on my oven/range which indicates a short in the "keypad" per the manual. Do I need to replace the overlay or the control board as well? Thanks!
1 Answer Hello David, The control panel or touch pad is the part with the issue. This is the only part you should need to replace. I would normally provide a part number but the last three digits of the model number are not present so I cannot give the part number that will work and match on your unit.
