This genuine OEM replacement part is a switch membrane assembly made for ovens. Also known as a touchpad, the switch membrane assembly is the plastic display piece on the oven that holds the buttons that control the oven's essential functions. If the touchpad is worn out and the buttons are no longer responding when pushed, it might be time to replace the switch membrane. To replace a damaged switch membrane, make sure to turn off all power to the oven by unplugging the appliance or shutting off the circuit breaker. After the power to the oven is turned off, take a putty knife to pry off the old touchpad cover. Gently pull it away from the stove's control panel until it comes off. There should be enough adhesive left over to place the new touchpad back to its original place. Be sure to line up the touchpad so that it fits perfectly. This replacement part is sold individually and is compatible with Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Sears/Kenmore brand ovens.

Hello Marilyn. Make sure the power is off and remove the clock from the unit. Then remove the ribbon cable from the board and unpeel the old membrane from the board. Stick new membrane to the board and install the ribbon cable. Reinstall the clock and back panel.

Hi Alfredo, I could not get a valid hit on your model number but the code usally indicates "Keypad cable unplugged". Check the keypad connector for a firm connection (keypad connects to control board). Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad on control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also called ERC or clock). Hope this helps!

Hello BiziMan. Yes, the issue was that the ribbon cable for the membrane WP8272702 was not properly seated and was causing the buttons not to work properly. Once the ribbon cable was removed, reseated, and locked down on the control board, the unit worked properly. The PF was cleared by pressing the cancel/off button on the unit. Thank you!
