Samsung DA61-11161A Fixer Handle (Handle Retainer) OEM Part

Replaced broken handle support bracket (part #AP5620448) and cap (part #AP5620751). Used a phillips head screwdriver and allen wrench. Pliers also came in very handy. If replacing cap and support bracket, be sure to install cap before support bracket, otherwise you'll have trouble installing the cap. I ended up not needing to replace the fixer handle (part #AP4372038), but I'll keep it around just in case.

Found your website and easily was able to find the right schematic. Referenced the parts and ordered everything I needed. The parts came, repaired the freezer door and wife is happy.

Ordered parts to reattach the handle online. I ordered an array of parts totaling $60, including 2 nylon pins that may have been right and left. Only one worked so hopefully that was the reason - not clear on the parts list. End caps are plastic and broken tabs trying to put them on so they are glued in place. Bolt also had to be replaced and was already taped with Teflon, presumably from the original Samsung install, and might have been the reason for the handle failure. Anyway, all is well and word to wise it is fixable but it will use more parts than you think it will need.

Looked at YouTube and found their video to repair. Very helpful. It was a 5 minute job and the parts are perfect. The only thing I would have liked is a screw to go with the metal reinforced cap.
