This is a ferrule from MTD. This particular ferrule is designed for use in the lawn mower's driveshaft. The wire rope (or tension spring) is attached to the variable speed pulley and engages the driveshaft/transmission system.A faulty ferrule on a lawn mower may cause the wire rope to snap or become disconnected from the driveshaft. The rope doesn't necessarily have to break to signal a malfunctioning ferrule. The rope may lose torque and cannot provide the tension needed to make adjustments to the driveshaft. In simpler terms, the lawn mower may lose its ability to shift between different speeds. The ferrule is located near the variable speed pulley (drive pulley) of the lawn mower. The deck will need to be removed to make any repairs to the ferrule. The belts will need to be removed also. Always make sure the brake is engaged before starting any repairs on this section of the lawn mower. This part is compatible with Craftsmen, TroyBilt, and MTD lawn mowers.
Fixes stripped or rusted mounting issues on tillers, tractors, and snow blowers. This stainless steel hex nut resists corrosion. Quick 5-minute install.
Hex nut fastener for lawn tractors, tillers, and other outdoor power equipment. Secures components throughout the machine. Replace if stripped or missing.
This genuine OEM replacement nut-hex center is used on lawnmowers, wood chippers, snowblowers, chainsaws, tillers, edgers, and log splitters. Hex is short for hexagon, which means this nut has 6 sides. This hex center locking nut is one piece and made of all metal. As the nut is made from metal, it is not compromised due to high temperatures. The purpose of this center locking nut is for fastening to a hex cap screw, socket cap screw, or bolt. Given that these center nuts will stay put without being seated, they are ideal to be used as stop nuts or spacers for rotating or other components. These nut hex centers contain internal threads and are driven with a wrench. These center nuts are reusable for a limited number of times, as the torque declines after each use. The user will want to ensure the threads of the nut are not compromised before using. It is recommended to use a new nut over a used one. This replacement nut is compatible with Craftsman, Cub Cadet, Ryobi, Yard Machines, MTD, Husky, Yard-Man, and MasterCut devices. This Nut-Hex Center is sourced directly from the manufacturer and is sold individually.
The cotter pin is a fastener that is commonly used in lawn and garden equipment. The cotter pin helps provide a secure, locking fit that is adjustable and easy to remove. The cotter pin is commonly used on axles and rods, but it can have many applications depending on the machine and model. Cotter pins can become worn or break down over time because they are exposed to constant vibrations. It is important to replace damaged or broken cotter pins immediately as a broken part can render the equipment useless in many cases. This cotter pin is designed to exact OEM standards by MTD, and is designed for use in various equipment from MTD, Troy-Bilt, Craftsman, RYOBI, Yard Machines, Hard Man, Poulan, Husky, Bolens, and Cub Cadet. This is a 5/16 cotter pin that features a #34 diameter, and is made of a durable metal. This part is sold individually and those who require more than one will have to order multiple quantities. No other hardware is included. Always wear gloves when working on lawn and garden equipment.

This OEM part is a cotter pin for lawnmowers. The cotter pin is the small clip that secures the mower deck to the mower. A cotter pin can become rusted or damaged due to exposure to the elements. If the cotter pin is no longer securing the mower deck, then it will need to be replaced. Luckily replacing this part is a relatively simple fix.To replace the cotter pin, start by making sure the mower is turned off. After that, locate the old damaged pin. Use a pair of pliers to pull it out of its place. Once removed, slide the new pin into its opening and make sure it is set securely on the mower deck. Once secured, turn the mower on to see if the pin can hold the mower deck. This genuine replacement part is sold individually and is compatible with MTD brand mowers.
Click pins are used in various lawn equipment machines to hold the wheels on. For larger riding lawn mowers, click pins are only used on the smaller front wheels. The click pin penetrates through the axle spindle to hold the tire in place. The part can get lost, damaged, or wear out with regular use. It's also possible to misplace the click pin when changing a tire because it has to be removed first before working on the wheel. A missing, damaged, or worn click pin must be replaced.Click pins are very easy to replace with only a pair of pliers. Wear gloves when making the repair. Start by pulling out the old click pin from its location with the pliers. Insert the new click pin back into the hole located in the spindle. This click pin is a genuine OEM replacement part. It is made with durable, high-quality metal. It is supplied by the manufacturer. It is compatible with both MTD and Murray brands. The equipment the click pin can be used with includes lawn tractors, lawn machines, and other lawn equipment. It is sold as an individual unit.
Cotter pins are simple but very effective fasteners used primarily to hold wheels in place on mowers. This is particularly true of the front wheels on riding mowers. Cotter pins are very light and can become overly pliable after extensive use. In some cases, the front wheels of a mower, which are the guide wheels that steer the device, become difficult to manage. The cure for this situation is often simply the replacement of the cotter pins that are not holding the guide wheels adequately in place. Before attempting to remove the pins, it is essential that the spark plug boot is moved so that the mower cannot be started. This is an important safety step because the repairer will be getting under the mower near the blades. The back wheels should be blocked so the mower cannot move, then the front end placed up on blocks. Remove the mower's hubcaps to gain access to the axle spindles. Straighten the legs of the pin so that when the curved portion of the cotter pin is grasped with pliers and it can be pulled straight back and be removed. The spindle, washers, and wheels should be checked for wear before the new pin is placed and secured. This OEM cotter pin is compatible with Bolens, Yard-Man, Craftsman, Yard Machines, Cub Cadet, Turf King, Troy-Bilt, Huskee, Toro, Ryobi, MTD, MasterCut, Murray, and Montgomery Wards.

Steering ball joint assembly for lawn tractors and snowblowers. Secures drag links and tie rod ends. Replace if worn, cracked, or loose for safe operation.
The drag link joint assembly is for use with some models of lawn tractors and mowers. The piece is used as a suspension linkage component on the machine and will help to ensure it can be turned and steered properly. If this piece breaks, it would mean that the tractor would not be capable of turning correctly, reducing or negating the efficiency of the machine. Owners should replace it if there are any issues. The drag link joint assembly is made from metal and is built to last, but it is still subject to wear and tear. It may eventually start to wear down, become corroded, or break. The replacement can be made by the owner, but they should be sure to let the mower cool, remove the spark plug wire, and use gloves to ensure safety. The drag link joint assembly is compatible with certain machines from MTD, Bolens, Yard-Man, and Troy-Bilt. The piece is sold individually. This is a genuine OEM replacement part that was sourced right from the manufacturer.
