Replaced the bulb with a standard appliance bulb, recommended wattage, but the "gasket" behind the ring holding the glass cover over the bulb looked like a mat of fiberglass. It was almost impossible to get back into place without tufts of it sticking out of the metal ring. Be careful not to tighten or twist the small hex nut in the knob cylinder/housing with force. there is a very small plastic set tab that can be broken off easily. how do I know? The orientation of the switch "box" is horizontal instead of vertical. otherwise, this replacement part # works as expected. I couldn't get the switch to attach plate removed, and the switch removed, without removing the entire cooktop and removing the top glass burner cover. Not difficult, but time-consuming. Read more
