Perfectly! Replacing Agitator Shaft is not for the faint of heart. Replacing output shaft pinion gear on the bottom of the agitator shaft requires care, experience and patience with pressing/driving drift pins without damaging the gear itself. One slip of the drift/punch or press apparatus will ruin the gear/teeth face and will lead to failure of the transmission internally when put back into service. Located at the bottom of the washer, this mechanical assembly transfers power from the motor to agitate and spin the wash basket. Replace it when the washer fills but won't agitate, makes grinding noises, or fails to spin clothes dry.
Put in a new transmission. Took about two hours. Thanks to a great YouTube video. New parts were right on. Everything fit perfect. Runs like new again. Read more
Lower brake bearing
I first replaced the two drive belts and the motor springs. That didn't fix it although they did need replacing. I then replaced the two bearings and the brake assy. The washer runs like new. If you replace the brake assembly, you should also replace the bearings. It will save a tear down later on. The Maytag repairman wanted $600.00 dollars to do the job. I did it for less than $200.00. This inlet fitting allows bleach to enter the washer's dispenser system and connects to the main water supply line. Replace when bleach doesn't dispense properly, leaks occur around the inlet, or the fitting becomes clogged or damaged.

We opened the top control panel (4 screws) and found the wiring diagram. Following the diagram we determined that the pressure valve must be the problem. Ordered the part on a Sunday, it shipped Monday, and was delivered Wednesday. The replacement took a few minutes and we were back in business! Saved a great deal of $$$:) Read more
