I supported the door with some books then took off the lower hinge. After lowering the door just a little I removed the old thimble using an EZ out then screwed in the new one. I didn't even need to unload the inside of the door. Read more

Not being a service technician, I determined that the problem might be fixed with a replacement thermostat. I found the model number and, after verifying that the part number was still viable, I ordered the replacement. With a couple minor modifications I was able to install the thermostat and now have a working back-up refrigerator again. Thanks for stocking a replacement part, and for such prompt delivery.
