Oven won't heat but broiler works? This safety valve controls gas flow to bake and broil burners. Common when one side fails but the other still works.
After moving a 20 year old GE XL44 stove, we began to notice a faint propane smell from the oven. We replaced the igniter. To do the job right you need to pull the oven off the wall (this was the 6 burner with griddle dual oven). you need to get to the igniter plug by taking off the entire back.... easier than it sounds... the hardest part is sliding the stove out and back in... I only need a 1/4 in driver for the whole job.... it is easier if you take the oven doors off... Read more
