The Water Valve is an OEM part for Bosch refrigerators. This part controls the flow of water into the refrigerator's ice maker and water dispenser system. By opening and closing in response to demands from the refrigerator's control system, it ensures the proper amount of water is supplied for making ice and dispensing water, maintaining optimal operation and efficiency.
The need for replacement can arise from a variety of causes, including mineral buildup from hard water, which can obstruct the valve's opening, mechanical failure due to wear and tear over time, or electrical issues preventing the valve from opening or closing properly.
Symptoms of a malfunctioning Water Valve include:
- No water being dispensed, indicating the valve may not be opening properly.
- The ice maker not producing ice, or producing very small ice cubes, suggesting insufficient water flow.
- Water leaking from the valve area, which can indicate a crack or failure in the valve's seal.
This genuine OEM Bosch part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau and select Kenmore models.
