This ice maker assembly includes the bucket that holds ice and the auger that dispenses it through your refrigerator door. It rotates to move ice cubes from storage into the dispenser chute when activated. Replace this assembly if ice won't dispense, dispenses slowly, or if you hear grinding noises when requesting ice.

The defrost harness kit is the set of wires and connectors that links the defrost heater to the defrost thermostat and the main control system in your refrigerator or freezer. It carries the electrical current that activates the heater during the automatic defrost cycle to melt frost buildup on the evaporator coils. Replace this kit if your freezer is accumulating excessive frost, the defrost cycle is not running, or you find burned, melted, or broken wires in the defrost circuit.

When we inspected the first time we found that Plactic had broken from the spiral part that for wards the ice. Also there were cracks in two places of other parts. There was a hole in the bottom of the bin. The new spiral was assembled and two new parts were replaced with help from the video and the diagram and the unit worked well. I ordered a clip retainer which hold the compressor in place. First, I discovered there are four clips and the one which I could easily move or turn by hand I ordered a replacement. The part came fast. In less than two minutes I had completed the repair. Read more
