We installed thermostat- bi metal protector. We first had to unplug the fridge for three hours. We removed all shelves and drawers to get to panel and installed the new part. I replaced the evap fan motor assembly after thawing out the evaporator. I replaced the evap motor assembly because i damaged it while defrosting the evaporator. Too much heat warped the fan blade and bracket. I replaced the motor because of the abnormal load it was put under when it was making all the noise from trying to spin through the ice buildup on the evaporator. The part was easily replaced. The biggest problem was that the front leg “caps” were shown in the drawings as separate parts. Would they be included with the kick plate or not? Were they ordered as the pair or did you need to order two? From the drawing it seemed they would not come with the part. So I ordered one. It did come as a pair but were also included already installed in the kickplate. Too cheap to return the caps. Just too confusing as to what you would actually get. Read more
