This igniter creates the spark needed to light gas burners on your range cooktop. It generates an electric arc that ignites the gas flow when you turn the burner control knob. Replace this part if burners won't light, take multiple attempts to ignite, or produce weak clicking sounds without lighting.

"welded" venturi tube missing o rings broken gas line James F. • San Diego , CA • April 10, 2016
My 18+ year old Jennair cooktop, PN CCG2520W was in need of a rebuild b/c of a welded venturi tube on the right front [RF] burner. In order to remove the glass top cover, you MUST remove the venturi tube. To do this you have to DRILL-OUT the venturi tube which requires a new venturi and orifice holder. The repair was difficult b/c most of the parts are no longer available. But then I found a ray-of-hope.
I was able to find some Jennair (Maytag) parts but they are scarce. Later I found...

The Spark Module is an OEM part Bosch ranges and cooktops. This electronic part generates the high-voltage spark needed to reliably ignite the gas burners with the push of a button.
Causes can be issues like component failure over the thousands of ignitions it facilitates. Water ingress could also potentially cause problems.
Symptoms of a bad spark module include:
- Unreliable or intermittent burner ignition requiring multiple ignition button presses
- One or more burners that will not ignite at all
- Occasionally flashing or error codes relating to ignition issues
This OEM Bosch part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau, and some Kenmore models.

Was told 2 burners had no ignition or gas and 2 others had gas but wouldn't ignite Charles W. • Granger , IN • December 16, 2014
Bought a Thermador PRSE48" dual fuel range from Craigslist really cheap because it didn't work. Did a little research and decided to overhaul most of the top (gas) end. For what I paid for it it was worth it and I'd have a good stove with new components. Replaced the griddle thermostat, ignition micro switches, ignition re-igniter box, installed fixing kit with 2 new potentiometers, both solenoids, and gas regulator. Had to replace 2 gas lines, all 4 jets, and one brass nut that were...

My thermador down draft had a gross filter Sharyl D. • Costa Mesa , CA • August 25, 2014
I ordered replacement filters--the filters fit inside the vent. I did not have a part number, just the model and the size. These fit great! My down draft was installed in 1996, so I was afraid the part might not be available. Success!
