This bolt assembly is the shipping bolt used to secure a washing machine's tub and suspension during transport. Replacing a missing or damaged bolt helps protect internal components from vibration and impact when moving the appliance. What it does:

• Locks the tub in place to limit movement during shipping or relocation
• Helps prevent internal damage caused by excessive shaking in transit
• Restores a complete set when one shipping bolt is lost, bent, or stripped
• For transport only—remove all shipping bolts before operating the washer

• Unplug the appliance and shut off water before starting
• From the rear, align the bolt with the shipping hole and hand-thread to avoid cross-threading; tighten securely without overtightening
• Install all shipping bolts required by your model (often four) before moving the unit
• After moving, remove all shipping bolts before use and store for future moves
