Turned off gas easily removed the the stove top pushing it up from the bottom. Unscrewed the bad valves and replaced with new ones purchased. Very tight working area so I had to loosen all three valves together so I could get my hand in tight area to replace screw into new valve. I noticed that the new valve did not include rubber bushing so I used the old ones which looked like new. After much research on the internet and no solution I decided to look for parts and found most had been discontinued. It was a GE jgp690 cook top and about 25 years old,but looked like new. I found the switch where the spark was most pronounce had a broken knob. the metal clasp was missing. So I thought maybe the knob might be the problem, and they were still in stock, so I order one and got it the next day. I attached it to the switch.
