Carlos B San Antonio , TX July 26, 2020 Appliance: LG Refrigerator LFX28968ST04 LG refrigerator dripping water from left door. Removed the bottom panel from the left door to verify the source of the leak. Tested with the door shut by running water dispenser. When I reopened door water had sprayed everywhere. Found the parts schematic on your site, chatted with a rep to verify parts. Ordered and arrived in 2 days, After I unplugged the fridge, removed the cover, and removed the water inlet valve (1 Phillips screw). Installed new one and re-inserted hoses into the new valve. Detached old tank and connected new tank. Plugged in power and retested with the door closed. Worked and no leak. 10 minutes at most. Easy DIY, save $65 service call, and probably another $100 in labor and parts mark up. Great video on the Appliance Parts Pros website really helped. Great experience, will use for future needs.
