Description

The rule of thumb is that a Lawn Mower should receive maintenance at least once a year. The ideal time for this is in the spring just prior to the heavy mowing season. This is the ideas behind Tecumseh's package tune-up kit, also called a summer maintenance kit. The kit contains a 20 oz bottle of Tecumseh 30W motor oil, which is the default for most lawn mowers. It is important to drain and refill a small engine's motor oil at least once a year. The kit also includes an air filter. There is probably no single piece of equipment more essential to the efficiency of an engine than an air filter, which should be replaced at least once a year. The kit also contains a champion small engine spark plug. Spark plugs can often be made to last more than one year. However, for the greatest efficiency in engine performance, a new plug is best. Finally, for those who did not drain the gasoline from the mower over the winter, the kit contains a fuel stabilizer to make old fuel burn as good as new. It should be noted that all the elements contained in this kit are certified OEM replacement parts, and as such, are exactly like the original equipment materials used in making and prepping lawn power tools when they are new.
