Description

This authentic OEM replacement oil seal is a part for a small gas-powered lawn appliance engine. From the outside, combustion engines seem fairly still, but within the inner workings, there is a constant flurry of movement. With so many moving metal parts, it's important for the engine to stay well lubricated. If oil starts leaking from the engine, metal rubbing against metal will create a lot of friction and heat. To keep oil where it is needed, manufacturers add oil seals to prevent seepage. Through repeated exposure to heat and oil, seals can warp or shrink and may begin to wear away. When this happens, oil will start to leak from the engine and the crankshaft will not work properly. Keep an eye out for overheating, vibrations, and strange sounds as these are signs of an oil leak.
