David O Tacoma , WA November 02, 2015 Appliance: Model VDB450ESS Error code: normal wash and pots and pans lights blink simultaneously which means moisture in flood pan I replaced the flood sensor part number PE050229. It was an easy fix once I realized were the part was located. The procedure to replace the part does require you to remove the dishwasher and lay it on its side. There is a drip pan located on the bottom of the dishwasher that is used to catch any leak and 4 torx (star) head bolts are all that hold it on. The flood sensor is physically mounted to the middle of the pan and as long as your pan shows no signs of moisture or had any standing water in it then the it is highly probable that this part has failed. The hardest part of this repair was to remove the dishwasher and lay it on it's side.
